We design sanitary spiral wound ultrafiltration systems.
The membrane fit is optimized in the housing This design eliminates the need for a "U Cup" type seal which eliminates stagnant flow areas and maximizes effective membrane area.
Pictured is an 80 square foot 10K membrane system designed for enzyme concentration. This typically concentrates to a ratio of 48 to 1 depending on batch size.
Whether it is extraction or fermentation our membrane systems are designed for performance. Our spiral wound polymer membranes meet current USP Class 6 testing. We meet a wide range of chemical compatibility and molecular weight cut-offs (MWCO) for Ultrafiltration and Nanofiltration applications. They range from; (1K, 3K, 4K, 5K, 8K, 10K, 30K 50K, 100K & 800K- MWCO, also 0.2-micron) in several different polymers. (Regenerated Cellulose, PES and PVDF)
. It is important to compare flux rates, chemical compatibility, and cost per sq.ft. to discover important features and benefits offered by FTI. In some instances, twice the flux rate or more has been achieved when compared to competitive membranes.
